it all started out when I was a kid, programming little programms in DOS - with GW-basic. when monitors were monochrome ;-). in this language you could define sinus beeps: pitch (by hertz!!) and duration. it was not possible to let 2 tones sound at once, but if you programmed a chain of tones with very short duration, it sounded almost like a chord. pure sound itself already thrills me, not to speak of the countless possibilities of computer based methods to change and create new sounds ~~~ |
